When I was a kid, I relied on the gentle stopping power of foliage in all my favorite sports. And I have the scars to prove it!
“Shrub-skateboardstopping” was especially fun. I remember the baffled fury on the face of the homeowner when he emerged one day, finally realizing what had been troubling his hedge, which faced our skateboarding hill.
