Workflow is the second big announcement at PDC

::: {.Section1} [Yesterday belonged to LINQ, today belongs to Workflow. This is a new namespace / API within WinFX that provides a fundamental atom of [Activity]{style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold"}. An [Activity ]{style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold"}\< ?xml:namespace prefix = o />can be:]{style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"}

[ ]{style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"}

[\<handwritten content/> ]{style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"}

[ ]{style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"}

[Additionally, [Activity]{style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold"}s can be combined into composite activities. With that, and an underlying execution engine, they can model control-flow. With that, [and a graphical deisgn surface]{style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold"}, they suddenly have a visual programming high-level programming language. Naturally, they call this [Windows [X]{style="FONT-STYLE: italic"} Foundation ]{style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold"}*where, in this case, [X = Workflow]{style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold; FONT-STYLE: italic"}***. It's very cool. ]{style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"} :::
